Culture Pass Available to Library Patrons
Patrons of the Phoenix Public Library system are now able to use their library cards to check out the local arts scene for FREE!
Beginning April 1, the Culture Pass program will allow cardholders among Phoenix libraries to borrow a pass to one of a dozen cultural venues. The list of participating organizations includes the Phoenix Art Museum, the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and the Phoenix Zoo.
Each pass is valid for a week and worth free admission for up to four people. Libraries will carry five passes to each destination. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. Card holders can only check out one pass at a time and no more than two per month. The program is scheduled to run thru March 31, 2010.
The art institutions are: the Arizona Museum for Youth, the Arizona Museum of Natural History, the Arizona Science Center, the Bead Museum, the Cave Creek Museum, the Children's Museum of Phoenix, the Desert Botanical Garden, the Heard Museum's three locations, Mesa Contemporary Arts, the Phoenix Art Museum, the Phoenix Zoo, the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and Taliesin West.
